Pre-Kindergarten Program Registration
2021 – 2022 School Year
Newton County Elementary faculty and staff are preparing for our 2021-2022 pre-kindergarten class. The pre-kindergarten program is designed to serve those children with the most academic/developmental needs. Students will be screened for enrollment by a pre-kindergarten test. The classes will begin and end to coincide with the regular school term at Newton County Schools. Participating students’ parents will be required to provide transportation to and from the school. Pre-kindergarten students will not ride Newton County School District buses. As with other students in the school district, pre-k students will be offered breakfasts and lunches by the Newton County School District Food Services.
Anyone having a 4-year old child they want to be tested for the pre-kindergarten program must come to Newton County Elementary main office to register the child between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on March 1st – 5th. It is not necessary for your child to be present on the day of registration. If all registration materials are presented by the child’s guardian(s), an appointment will be made for your child to be screened for placement.
