Pre-K Registration has officially opened and will continue until the 60 seats are filled. Your child must be 4 on or before September 1, 2024. This is a first come, first served basis. See the attached documents for more details. Anyone can choose to print out the PreK Packet; however, packets are available in the NCES Office. If you have any questions, please call the NCES Office at 601-635-2956.

Harrison Named District Teacher of the Year

Dawn Harrison, a second grade teacher at Newton County Elementary School, was named District Teacher of the Year at the close of the semester from left: NCES Principal Jason Roberson, NC Superintendent Tyler Hansford, District Teacher of the Year Dawn Harrison, and NCES Assistant Principal John May.

Little Named NCHS Teacher of the Year

Leann Little, ACT Prep I teacher at Newton County High School, was named NCHS Teacher of the Year at the close of the semester from left: NCHS Assistant Principal Dawn Hollingsworth, NCHS Principal Nick Smith, NCHS Teacher of the Year Leann Little, and NCMS Assistant Principal Tabitha Chaney.
